Randomness
As some of you probably noticed: the random number generator was fucked somehow. I still don't know why, but it kept dealing the same hands. It's sorted for now, sorry about that.
Small move adjustment
I just realized that the new avatars and some uploaded files weren't moved onto the new server. So if you saw weird things... like your avatar not being loaded, or your profile photographs gone, then that was the reason. They should not all be back.

Move finalized
As announced I finally managed to complete the move. Nice reminder of how many services are attached to something like this...
The database dump was made 2008-11-08 15:50, while a maintenance message was the only thing running on the old server. So everything should be continuing here without problems with the data.
As always... that's what I -hope-. Drop me a line or make some noise in the channel, if things go tits up. This is a new underlying architecture (Debian on a 64-bit AMD), so there might be some new results.
Have fun.

Move
Hello, everybody. There wasn't much newsworthy lately. Now there is... I'm sort of planning to move to a new server this weekend. Will see how far I get.
I'll report when it is done or there are problems or whatever. :)

Recent connection problems
Hallo, everybody. The connection problems should be fixed now. Sorry for the slowness... didn't see it until just a few moments ago.
I'll tryyy to set up something sometime that notifies me directly if things go tits up.
Cheers for your patience and have fun.

Community
Hello hello, everyone! =)
It's been a long while since I've been the one to make a news post, but I'm on a new burst of energy to get Dracis users to start opening up to one another again. I've had the opportunity to chat with a few of you out there, but not too often is it more than a "hello! goodbye" type of experience. Mainly what I want to advertise here is our beautiful forums, which could do with a bit of dusting off around this time. You can visit the forums by clicking on the little tab labeled 'Forums' near the top of the page. Fairly straightforward, right? :)
Anyone can create a thread in any of the forums, and anyone can also reply to any thread! The exception to this is the News forum: while anyone can -reply- to a thread there, only Operators can -create- News threads. We are eager to hear about anything you have to say, and this is also probably the easiest way for you to give us feedback regarding your experience on this site. In addition to the News forum, there's a forum for reporting any bugs you think are scuttling around, one for any sort of suggestion you have for us, and a general forum for everything fun and exciting! As long as you are considerate in your words, keep your wits with you, and try to post in the appropriate forum, good times shall be had by all.
If you take a look in the General forum now, I have just posted a thread containing information about off-site Dracis-related things, namely Facebook and MySpace. Everyone should go on an adventure to check out the forums now, and post something! Ice cream, thunderstorms, yellow ponchos, the average number of nests per tree in South Carolina -- we can talk about anything.
By the way, I would start to celebrate world holidays/events, but I have yet to update my calendars. Hopefully that'll happen in the near future. 'Nyway, I hope to hear from you soon! =)
